Dr.
Barbara K. Pryor holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree
in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (2004), a Master
of Science degree in Dispute Resolution (1997), and
a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies (1995)
from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. She was consistently awarded an institutional
scholarship entitled Nova
Honor Award. Dr. Pryor also earned
a tuition scholarship award for her exemplary graduate
work based upon a 3.93 cumulative grade point average,
and nominated for a Graduate Student Paper Award by
Dr. Sean Byrne for her publication entitled International
Environmental Mediation. She completed
Florida International University's Paralegal program
(1987) in North Miami, Florida with honors as well.
In her capacity as a paralegal and mediator, Dr.
Pryor has provided her professional legal assistance
and conflict resolution expertise to several major
law firms in the South Florida community, working
full-time, beginning in the 1980s, for law firms focusing
their practices on fields such as environmental law
and family mediation. She also works actively in her
community, engaging in complex environmental conflicts
like the Everglades restoration, an issue of concern
and great significance to the region, to the nation
and to the world, through her membership in the National
Audubon Society, state office, Audubon of Florida
and its Everglades Conservation Network (ECN), and
local chapter, Broward County Audubon Society (BCAS),
since joining one of the largest and oldest environmental
non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in 1999. After
taking over as Editor five years ago, Dr. Pryor also
collaborates with Audubon in their common goal "to
get the word out" about the historic promise to save
the Everglades through her monthly work editing, copywriting,
and producing the BCAS newsletter The
Warbler.
Dr. Pryor continues to sit on the BCAS Board of Directors
and work actively as chapter leader, Editor of their
monthly newsletter The
Warbler, and Secretary and Officer,
and currently represents BCAS as a delegate on the
Everglades Coalition and on the environmental organization's
conservation, Everglades, "Everglades Bird Fest,"
"Give Thanks for the Environment Day," and programs
committees. She is also a professional member of the
National Writers Association (NWA) and the Freelance
Writing Organization - Int'l (FWO), and a member of
Writers Net. Based upon her exemplary

substantive editing/rewriting expertise,
Dr. Pryor provides such professional
